Lawrence “Law” E. Sturdivant Jr. is an author, speaker, and creative director whose work examines identity, masculinity, presence, and the discipline of becoming whole.

His writing sits at the intersection of memoir, lived philosophy, and applied communication—less concerned with performance or surface-level self-improvement, and more focused on clarity, emotional intelligence, and personal sovereignty. He writes for those who have loved deeply, lost honestly, and are no longer interested in collapsing, shrinking, or pretending their way forward.

The book expands his philosophy into precise, usable tools for boundary-setting, self-advocacy, and conversation repair.

His debut memoir, LAWRENCE: Visions of Self, explores life after divorce through the lens of accountability, restraint, and self-authorship—offering a grounded meditation on desire, endings, and choosing oneself without resentment. Its companion volume, LAWRENCE: Visions of Self — Practices for Presence, extends those themes into structured, embodied practice.

As a speaker and facilitator, Lawrence equips students, professionals, and community leaders with practical frameworks for presence, consent literacy, and direct communication across language, culture, and institutional systems.
