I believe the quality of our lives is shaped by the quality of our conversations, decisions, and relationships. Whether I'm advising an entrepreneur, speaking to a room of leaders, helping an organization strengthen communication, or writing a book, my work begins with the same purpose: helping people move from complexity to clarity—and from clarity to purposeful action.

My Work
I'm Lawrence "Law" E. Sturdivant Jr.—a Strategic Advisor, keynote speaker, author, and founder of Lawrence E. Sturdivant Jr. L.L.C.
Over the past two decades, I've built a career across corporate leadership, sales, business development, communication, publishing, civic leadership, and entrepreneurship. Those experiences allow me to see connections others often miss, helping individuals and organizations identify the systems beneath their challenges and design practical paths forward.
Today, I partner with entrepreneurs, businesses, nonprofits, educational institutions, government agencies, and community leaders through strategy sessions, keynote presentations, leadership development, and communication training.
What I Believe
My work is built on four principles.
Presence
Attention is our greatest leadership resource. We cannot lead others well if we are absent from ourselves.
Consent
Healthy relationships and healthy organizations are built through clear agreements, mutual respect, and accountability—not assumptions.
Communication
Most conflict is not caused by a lack of intelligence. It is caused by a lack of shared language. Clear communication creates trust, alignment, and possibility.
Leadership
Leadership is not a title. It is the daily practice of aligning your values, your words, and your actions.

Beyond the Stage
In addition to my professional work, I serve as a Trustee of the New Britain Public Library, contributing to governance and financial stewardship in support of literacy, lifelong learning, and community development.
I am also the founder of Sovereign Crowns Creative House Publishing, an independent publishing company dedicated to creating thoughtful, transformational works that encourage clarity, presence, creativity, and legacy.
A Little More Personally
I live and work in Connecticut and believe that our greatest credibility comes from how we live when no one is watching.
Away from the stage and the boardroom, you'll usually find me writing, training, traveling, cooking, creating music, studying communication, or refining the daily disciplines that support a life of presence.
I'm also a father, and I believe legacy begins long before it is remembered. It begins with the example we choose to live each day.
