Celebrating New Releases, New Milestones, and the Courage to Choose
There are moments in life when the calendar aligns with the journey.
This is one of those moments.
As America celebrates Independence Day—a reminder of freedom, courage, and the pursuit of something greater—I find myself celebrating a different, yet deeply connected, kind of freedom.
The freedom to choose.
This week marks the release of two projects that have been growing quietly for months.

While they are different forms of art, they share the same heartbeat.
Both ask the same question:
What happens when we stop performing and begin choosing?
Milestones Matter
I've learned that milestones aren't just about reaching destinations.
They're opportunities to pause.
To acknowledge growth.
To appreciate the road behind us.
And to intentionally choose the direction of the road ahead.
Too often, we rush from accomplishment to accomplishment without recognizing who we've become along the way.
This week is one of those moments where I wanted to stop and simply say:
"I'm grateful."
Grateful for every reader.
Every listener.
Every conversation.
Every lesson.
Every setback that eventually became preparation.
Consent Is Bigger Than Sex
When many people hear the word consent, their minds immediately go to sexuality.
That's understandable.
But consent has always been much larger than that.
Consent is about:
Permission.
Choice.
Communication.
Boundaries.
Participation.
Respect.
It asks questions many of us were never encouraged to ask:
Did I freely choose this relationship?
Did I freely choose this career?
Did I freely choose this identity?
Did I freely choose this version of myself?
Or have I simply been living according to expectations I never stopped to examine?
These are the conversations I hope this book begins.
When Discipline Meets Desire
My new single, Cake, explores another tension we all experience.
Desire is powerful.
But desire without discipline eventually consumes us.
Discipline without desire often leaves us empty.
The challenge isn't choosing one over the other.
It's learning how they work together.
When discipline and desire become partners instead of enemies, we begin creating lives that are both meaningful and sustainable.
Freedom Is More Than a Holiday
As fireworks fill the sky this Fourth of July, I hope we also take a moment to ask ourselves a quieter question.
Where else in our lives are we seeking freedom?
Freedom from fear.
Freedom from shame.
Freedom from unhealthy patterns.
Freedom from silence.
Freedom to communicate honestly.
Freedom to become who we were created to be.
Political freedom is important.
Personal freedom is transformational.
The Journey Continues
These releases aren't the finish line.
They're another chapter.
Another conversation.
Another invitation.
Whether you've been following my work through my books, podcast, music, speaking engagements, or community work, thank you for being part of this journey.
My hope has never been simply to create content.
My hope has always been to create conversations that help people become more present, more intentional, and more honest—with themselves and with one another.
Because I believe every meaningful transformation begins with a simple decision.
To choose.
To communicate.
To become.
